About This Project

Yang-Ward Foundation is working tirelessly to empower single women in rural areas by engaging them in various revenue generating activities such as cash crop production, pig farming, goat farming etc to gain financial independence. Meanwhile we are working with local schools by donating books worth thousands of dollars and establishing scholarships for underprivileged girls. We are also working to equip schools with computers to expose them to modern technology.

Recently, Yang-Ward Foundation handed over a laptop computer to the headmaster of Mathillo Sikri Primary School in Jiri, Dolakha. This is our first laptop donation to any schools that we are working with in Nepal. This laptop was necessary both for teaching and to keep records of school documents, library books we donated and other school related purposes.

Special thanks goes to our field co-coordinator Kesee Arun for his time and effort. He has been our greatest strength for all the projects that are currently running in Dolakha.
