02 Jul Winchester University Nepalese Society (UK) Charity Dinner to Support Yang-Ward Foundation
A group of Nepalese students attending Winchester University, UK, led by the Winchester University Nepalese Society, organized a charity dinner event to support Yang-Ward Foundation on 13th of December 2015. This event took place at the Ridgeway Hall in Basingstoke, UK.
This charity dinner event was a grand success. The number of people who showed up for the event to show their support and solidarity with Yang-Ward Foundation’s work was unbelievable. Every single ticket for the event was sold. Nepali food was served and various local artists entertained attendees. Performances by Nikita Thapa, Newa Sulav, Diwas Gurung, Kajol Bhattachan Gurung, Pramod Thapa Magar, Dr. Sudarshan Gurung, Bibita Thapa, Sanil Gurung, Suroj Gurung, Sandip Gurung, Bishal Gurung, Band from Plumstead, Nikita Bura Magar, and Kingston University Nepalese Society were all very lively and entertaining.
Our Foundation President Yangmali Sahadev Rai and Board of Director member, Dr. Edward Brent, attended the event. On behalf of Yang-Ward Foundation, we would like to thank the event organizer, Winchester University Nepalese Society- (WINNS), for inviting us to attend this event and working so hard to make this event possible. Thanks to all our sponsors and guests who were part of this great evening. Dr. Brent and Yangmali Rai were blown away by the amount of support and encouragement shown by the organizers and attendees. Support from people like YOU guys encourages us to work even harder.
This is the third fund raising event by WINNS. They have been one of the strongest supporters of our work and mission.
